Course Overview

A 2 day training course incorporating assessment and accreditation designed to provide learners with the knowledge to undertake effective surveillance of reservoirs as a reservoir ‘keeper’/catchment controller/inspector.
This course is usually run on a company’s property using their own dams as a training exercise.

• A visit to a local reservoir is included to provide opportunities to see the theory of inspection in practice.
• Assessment and accreditation is undertaken by written tests of knowledge gained on the course and assessment of the practical exercise described above.

What do I need to bring with me?

• Please bring waterproof reflective clothing, safety boots, hard hat and a suitable notebook will be required for site visits.
• Learners can bring with them any materials used in their work, copies of risk assessments or management systems so that they can see how their materials fit in to the context of the training.
